So.. Who Exactly Are We?

Established since 2007, starringSMU is the largest community service project held for freshmen joining our institution each year. Presently in its fourth consecutive year, starringSMU’s projects have impacted more than 5,000 people in the community over the course of three years.

The intent of starringSMU is to nurture a culture of caring and bonding in society through the execution of its community service projects.

This year, starringSMU’11 aims to reach out to an even a wider audience and touch the lives of the community at large, with its rollout of events that include ‘SMU Car Foam Party’, ‘SMU Gives Back’ and a Finale in celebration of all our events.

Just like the stars in the universe, every single one of us shines differently in our own unique way. However, we all strive towards the sole purpose with one heart – playing our part for our community, and only by shining together, we will then brighten the lives of other people. Hence our theme this year, “Made Differently, With One Heart”
